Sharp Cares Flood Relief Programme Terms & Conditions

  1. The Sharp Cares Flood Relief Programme (the “Programme”) is organised by Sharp Electronics Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 199501027792 (356997-H) (the “Organiser”).
  2. The Programme is open to all Malaysians who are owners of Sharp products and whose products were affected/damaged/destroyed by the floods that hit Malaysia in December 2021.
  3. The Programme starts on the 25th -December 2021 at 00:00, and ends on 31st -January 2022 at 23:59 (the “Programme Period”). Any service/repair/product replacement requests received after the Programme Period will not be entertained and will be disqualified.
  4. The Programme comprises:
    A. Free inspection of product(s) (Due to flood).
    B. Up to 50% Discount on repair fees (Out-of-Warranty).
    C. Up to 60% Discount or Up to RM1,000 Cash Rebate for product replacement.

4a. To obtain the Cash Rebate for the replacement Sharp product, these six steps must be complied with:

(i) Purchase Selected Sharp product(s) at any Authorised Stores.   

(ii) Download and Register your product on Cocoro Life App.

  • Register your email address and ensure that you have verified your email.

    Important note: The email address is the main communication mode from Sharp to the registered product owner.

(iii) Upload receipt and warranty card.  

(iv) Customer Care Team will contact you.  

(v) Fill in your details as per the Online Form.  

(vi) Get Cash Rebate within 14 days from your verified notification email.  

  1. Specific Terms and Conditions apply to In-Warranty and Out-of-Warranty situations, as follows:

    In-Warranty

    5a. Standard warranty terms and conditions shall apply only to products from Sharp Malaysia (“Sharp Product) due to technical malfunctions and not due to exposure to hazards or caused by floods.

    5b. If the product owner is unable to present the purchase/sales receipt of the said Sharp Product due to the receipt being damaged by the flood, the Sharp authorised technician shall complete the full inspection by referring to the product serial number. As when deemed appropriate, Sharp Malaysia may provide an additional 3 months’ warranty from the product’s production month and year.

    5c. If the said product has completed the full inspection and is found to meet the in-warranty terms and conditions, then the Sharp authorised technician will proceed to repair and treat the repairs as an in-warranty repair.     Out-of-Warranty

    5d. When a Sharp Product is exposed to any water damage such as floods, it shall be deemed as out-of-warranty.

    5e. Sharp Malaysia provides care and support by way of free inspection of the Sharp Product that is out of warranty due to water damage.

    5f. If the Sharp Product is repairable after inspection, the Sharp authorised technician shall provide a 50% discount on spare parts cost if the customer agrees to proceed for repair by Sharp Malaysia.

    5g. If the Sharp product is deemed to be beyond repair after a completed inspection, then the Sharp Product owner may opt for the Care Support Programme offered by Sharp Malaysia.

  2. The Care Support Programme encompasses the following:
    6a. Sharp Product owners (for out-of-warranty) that are affected by the flood are entitled to the Care Support Programme after having completed the verification by Sharp Service Team.

    6b. Customers will be entitled to receive benefits of the Care Support Programme on selected models of Sharp Products according to the recommended product listing as published.

    6c. Customers may purchase the selected model of Sharp Products from any of the Sharp authorised dealers in Malaysia.

    6d. Customers are required to complete the registration through the Cocoro Life mobile application to claim the cash rebates as part of the benefits of the Care Support Programme.

    6e. Sharp Malaysia will proceed to provide the cash rebate via online banking transfer within fourteen (14) days after the product owner has completed the bank account information in the Cocoro Life mobile application as mentioned above. (Please take note that the registered product owner’s name and the bank account owner’s name must be the same.)

    6f. Each customer is entitled to claim the cash rebate one time, for each selected Sharp Product model, ONLY.

    6g. All the eligible products in the list are subject to availability. The Organiser reserves the right to replace any product(s) listed with a product of similar value at any time, without prior notice.

    Care Support Programme – List of Eligible Products

Conditions:

    • Existing Sharp products for flood victims only.
    • Applies to in-warranty and out-of-warranty. If not able to repair the product, enjoy a special discount from Sharp Malaysia.
  1. The Organiser reserves the right to amend, extend, or terminate the Programme at any time without prior notice.
  2. By participating in the Programme, the Participant(s) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein.
  3. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify requests that are incomplete, illegible, or submitted beyond the deadline.
  4. The Organiser shall have no liability to the Participant(s) in any respect whatsoever. All Participants are fully responsible for any costs incurred due to injuries, damages or claims whether directly or indirectly caused by their participation in the Programme, and related activities.
  5. By participating in the Programme, the Participant has agreed and consented to give the Organiser the rights to use his/her personal particulars and/or information for the purposes of including but not limited to advertising and/or any other forms of publicity from time to time without any fees, payments, costs and expenses. The Participant may make his/her request via email to the Organiser (sharpcs.support@my.sharp-world.com) in the event he/she intends to withdraw his/her consent to disclose any personal information held by the Organiser.
  6. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any terms and conditions of the Programme at any time without prior notice.
